A long overdue project dedicated to expounding the genius of one of the outstanding composers in contemporary jazz. This special project will put a fresh slant on the great Wayne Shorter,with specially written lyrics by Norma Winstone and a creative use of sampling to develop a palette of colours, textures and ambience reflecting Shorter`s own sensibilities.

The programme draws on different periods throughout Shorter`s long, varied and prolific career. Robert Mitchell - no slouch at the compositional game himself - has used all his experience to put this outstanding `tribute band` together for this project.
