Tom Arthurs was born in Corby, Northamptonshire in 1980 and studied at City University and Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada).

He has performed and recorded with Pete Wareham, Richard Fairhurst, Ingrid Laubrock, Chartwell Dutiro, Timeline, Synergy, Justin Quinn, Jonathan Bratoeff, JazzXchange Dance and Music Company, electronic music manipulators Icarus and Sa-Ra Creative Partnerships.

Present projects: Centripede; Squash Recipe (with Toronto drummer Joe Sorbara and New York pianist Bruce McKinnon
